PUKLAVEC FAMILY WINES, it’s a family owned cellar with a long history of wine making in In the Podravje region in SLOVENIA. Combining knowledge, passion, technology and hard work. PFW produces world class white wines characterized for its freshness, balance and elegance. Fruit driven with nice minerality and excellent acidity that allowed these wines to age nicely.

The Puklavec family’s love for wine can be tracked back to 1934 in Slovenia. Martin Puklavec had a vision: to make the finest wines together. At that time the cellar was a cooperative where Martin Puklavec was the general manager, during more than 30 year Martin Puklavec had to deal with very tough periods for wine producing as the Second World War and the communism era when the all the vines pass to be State property, but due its determination and humanity, Martin notably improve the quality of the wines and the cellar, he also gained great reputation for improving the conditions and economy of the winegrowers and cellar workers.

布家家族对葡萄酒的热爱可以追溯到1934年的斯洛文尼亚。马丁·布家有一个愿景：把最好的葡萄酒放在一起。当时的酒窖是合作社，马丁·布家任总经理, 在超过30年的时间里，马丁·布家不得不非常艰难的处理葡萄酒的生产，在第二次世界大战和共产主义时代, 所有的葡萄通过国有资产,但由于他的决心和人格, 马丁明显改善葡萄酒的质量和酒窖,他也获得了巨大的声誉在提高酿酒师和酒窖工人的经济情况。

This philosophy continues to resonate through the family’s wine making today. With Martin’s death in 1969, the Puklavec influence in the wine region would come to an end until Martin’s son Vladimir restored the vineyards and cellar to family hands in 2009, improving again the wines quality and providing work to a 142employees representing a great pillar of regional’s economy and development. Puklavec Family Wines are driven by the core values of passion, hard work and dedication to quality. Vladimir Puklavecand his two daughters, Tatjana and Kristina all work together, alongside the other winegrowers, with the determination to continue the pursuit of their (grand)father’s vision. In Podrave region Puklavec surname its always a synonym of respect and passion.

‘We are continuing the family tradition, with the goal of making top quality wines in a region that is among the best wine regions in the world,’ says the younger Puklavec. The Puklavec family intends to make the wine region and the wine cellar a name of international renown once again.
